Our clubs meet regularly in Adastral Park, Bury St. Edmunds, Colchester, Felixstowe, Ipswich, Norwich Central, and Sudbury, offering structured programmes for all levels.

Members enjoy access to the ASC’s Development Pathway and networking opportunities at our annual National Conference. From World Speech Day in March and our prestigious President’s Dinner, our events celebrate public speaking and community connection.

Our recognised accreditations with Victoria College Exams (VCM) and The CPD Certification Service underscore our commitment to excellence, providing direct entry and exemptions for VCM exams. Whether you’re starting out or seasoned, join East Anglia Speakers Clubs to develop your skills and thrive in a supportive community.

The Association of Speakers Clubs

We are part of The Association of Speakers Clubs (ASC), a national non-profit organisation dedicated to improving communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Our local clubs meet once or twice a month and follow a structured programme that caters to all ages, skill levels, and experiences. Members benefit from diverse resources, public speaking competitions, and a supportive community that enhances confidence and competence.

Joining our clubs offers access to ASC’s Development Pathway, CPD accreditation, exclusive resources, and networking opportunities at the annual National Conference. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced speaker, East Anglia Speakers Clubs provide a welcoming environment to develop your skills at your own pace.

Club Meetings and Events

East Anglia Speakers Clubs and the Association of Speakers Clubs offer a variety of events to enhance public speaking skills and connect with the community.

Our club meetings are held monthly across various locations including Adastral Park, Bury St. Edmunds, Colchester, Felixstowe, Ipswich, Norwich Central, and Sudbury.

In March, we participate in World Speech Day (WSD), a global event celebrating the power of speeches to inspire change and unite communities. Originating from Simon Gibson’s initiative, WSD now features live events in over 90 nations, offering everyone a chance to share their ideas.

Each April, the Association of Speakers Clubs hosts its annual conference and AGM, featuring the National Final of the ASC public speaking competitions. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other members, witness exceptional speeches, and engage with the wider ASC community. Additionally, our President’s Dinner provides a prestigious evening of celebration and networking.

Join us at these events to experience the vibrant community of East Anglia Speakers Clubs, whether you’re looking to improve your communication skills or simply connect with like-minded individuals.

Accreditations

At East Anglia Speakers Clubs, we are proud of our recognised accreditations with Victoria College London (VCM) and The CPD Certification Service. Our ASC certificates, recognised by the Victoria College of Music London, allow our members to gain direct entry and exemptions for various VCM exams, enhancing their opportunities and international exposure.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is central to our commitment to lifelong learning. Our CPD certifications include four public speaking certificates across two pathways: the skills route (Foundation Certificate, Certificate of Achievement, and Diploma in Public Speaking) and the impact route (Certificate in Applied Public Speaking). We also offer two levels of evaluation and judging awards (Accomplished and Distinguished) and three levels of leadership awards (Bronze, Silver, and Gold), focusing on leadership within the club and the wider association. These accreditations reflect our dedication to providing recognised pathways for developing public speaking, evaluation, and leadership skills.
